What to send and what to include

Email is much more useful when it carries the information needed to act. Below are the templates we lean on - not required, just helpful.

🐛 Bug report or calculator correction

Most useful when it lets us reproduce the issue in under a minute.

• The exact URL of the calculator (e.g. /tools/income-tax-india.html).
• What you typed in - the inputs that produced the wrong result.
• What number you got, and what you expected (and ideally the source for the expected number, like an HMRC bracket table or IRS publication).
• Browser and device, if it's a UI bug.
• A screenshot if it's visual.

💡 Feature request or new calculator

We add new calculators every week based on what people ask for.

• What you want to calculate, in plain English.
• The country it applies to, if relevant.
• A link to the formula or official rule, if you have one.
• The kind of person who'd use it - helps us decide where to put it.

🤝 Partnership, syndication, or content licensing

We license calculators, embed widgets, and write commissioned guides for fintech and finance publishers.

• Your company and the audience you'd like to serve.
• What you have in mind - embed, white-label, custom calculator, content.
• Volume and timing expectations.

📰 Press, media, and interview

Happy to comment on personal finance, tax season, or browser-first software.

• Publication and the angle you're working on.
• Deadline.
• Format (written quote, phone, video, asynchronous).

🔐 Privacy, data, or security inquiry

For GDPR / CCPA / DPDP rights requests, security disclosures, or general privacy questions, use the same address with "Privacy" or "Security" in the subject line.

• Your jurisdiction, if it affects the right being asserted.
• Nature of the request: access, deletion, opt-out, correction.
• For security: steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behaviour, suggested fix.

What we can't help with

• Personal tax advice. We can't tell you which regime to choose or whether your deduction is valid. Talk to a chartered accountant, CPA, or tax advisor licensed in your jurisdiction.
• Investment advice. Same reason.
• Filing your return. The calculators show numbers; they don't file anything.
• Account problems. 3Tej has no user accounts.

Response times

We aim to reply to every legitimate email within 72 hours. Bug reports affecting calculator accuracy are prioritized and usually answered the same day. Partnership and press emails get triaged on weekdays.

If you haven't heard back in a week, check your spam folder, then send a polite nudge to the same address - sometimes mail providers eat replies.
