Privacy Policy

📋 The short version

• Calculator inputs (your salary, income, etc.) never leave your browser. We can't see them.
• We use Umami, a cookieless privacy-first analytics service, to count anonymous pageviews.
• We don't sell, rent, or share personal data.

1. Who we are

This site - 3Tej at https://3tej.com - is operated by the 3Tej team and has been online since 2024. For any data-related inquiry, the controller of record is reachable at hi@3tej.com.

2. What you type into calculators

Every calculator on 3Tej runs entirely in your browser. The page downloads JavaScript, the math happens on your device, and the result is rendered locally. None of your inputs are transmitted to our servers. We don't have a backend that stores them. We can't read them. We can't retrieve them. They never exist anywhere except in your browser tab and any local-storage entry you create.

This applies to salary figures, tax inputs, medical inputs, business figures, image uploads on file tools (processed in-browser), and everything else you enter into a tool's form.

3. What we do collect (analytics)

To understand which calculators get used, which countries our visitors come from, and which pages have problems, we use Umami Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service. Key properties:

• Cookieless - no cookies set, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting.
• No personal data - IP addresses are hashed and immediately discarded; only an anonymous daily-rotating identifier is computed.
• GDPR / CCPA / DPDP compliant by design - no consent banner required in most jurisdictions because no PII is collected.
• Open source - the Umami codebase is publicly auditable.

Umami sees: approximate location (country / region from server-side IP, then discarded), browser, device type, page visited, referrer, and the timing of those events. It does not see your calculator inputs.

4. Cookies and local storage

3Tej itself sets only what it needs to remember a tool preference (e.g. dark mode, default currency). These are stored in your browser's local storage, not cookies, and they never leave your device. Third parties set the following:

5. Third-party services

• Cloudflare - hosts and serves the site (Cloudflare Pages), provides CDN, DDoS mitigation, and basic bot protection. Sees request metadata. Privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Google Analytics 4 - aggregate analytics with IP anonymization. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Fonts - the Inter typeface. Note Google logs the font request. Privacy policy as above.
• Google AdSense (when shown) - serves contextual display ads. AdSense may use cookies for frequency capping and basic personalization (consent-respecting where required).

We have no other third-party trackers, pixels, session replayers, or ad SDKs on the pages.

6. Your rights under GDPR, CCPA, and DPDP

Because we collect essentially no personal data, most rights requests are simple. You have the right, depending on where you live, to:

• Access - ask what we have about you. For most users this is "nothing identifiable."
• Erasure / Deletion - request removal of any data tied to you in our systems.
• Correction - if any data is wrong.
• Opt out - of analytics (use a browser tracking blocker, an ad blocker, or the GA opt-out add-on) and of sale (we don't sell - nothing to opt out of, but the right is honoured).
• Portability - receive data in a machine-readable form.
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (your local DPA / state AG / Data Protection Board).

7. Children's privacy

3Tej is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that threshold applies). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention

Analytics events are retained by Google for 14 months and then aggregated. Server logs at the Cloudflare layer are short-lived (typically days). 3Tej maintains no separate database of visitor data.

9. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate globally. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries. Both providers participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable; standard contractual clauses apply where needed.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and, where required, post a notice. For non-material changes (clarifications, typo fixes), only the date changes.
